Who we are.
Over 7,000 professionals trained globally.
The Center for Mind Body Medicine (CMBM) is a world leading organization in evidence-based, community-driven trauma recovery. For more than 30 years, we have helped people rebuild resilience in post-war and disaster-affected regions including Kosovo, Ukraine, Haiti, Louisiana, and communities across the United States. Recognized by the NIH, USAID, and the World Bank, CMBM is a global authority in population-wide trauma recovery.
Two decades of evidence-based work across Israel.
Since 2004, CMBM has been working in Israel, training hundreds of professionals who bring this model into schools, hospitals, municipalities, frontline communities across the country, and families and groups affected by war and terror.
CMBM-Israel is a trauma-healing initiative dedicated to rebuilding Israel’s social fabric from within.

Meeting the needs of October 7 and beyond.
Building an emotional infrastructure.
Since October 7, CMBM-Israel has been on the ground every day, providing trauma-healing support to Nova festival survivors, bereaved families, hostage and reservist families, evacuated communities, residents of the Gaza envelope, and the first responders and frontline professionals carrying the weight of this crisis.
Healing becomes possible when we act now.
The depth of collective trauma in Israel is becoming clearer with every passing month. Left untreated, trauma disrupts children’s development, places heavy strain on families already under chronic stress, weakens the resilience of entire communities, and drives sharp increases in anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Over time, the social and economic costs multiply for decades.
But with the right tools and support, healing becomes possible. Communities grow stronger. Resilience returns. Hope is restored.
We have a crucial window right now to support Israelis before long-term consequences take root.
